CPP30411 - Certificate III in Security Operations


This course, which we are currently offering only at Crown Perth, is designed for Security Officers who have, or are working towards, leadership and management roles in the security industry.

By completing this course, you'll develop a sound knowledge of relevant legislation and operational procedures, and learn the skills and knowledge required to apply discretion and judgement in a range of scenarios. Activities will include, for example, participating in a simulated security response, after which you will complete a witness statement and provide witness testimony in a subsequent court hearing.

Upon successful completion of this course, you can complete CPPSEC3018A Provide for the safety of persons at risk, which means you can then apply to WA Police for licence to work as an unarmed bodyguard.

Duration: 10 days (from 8.00 am to 4.00 pm), spread over approximately 6 months (1 - 2 days of training per month). 

Selection criteria: To be accepted into this course, you must:

* be 18 years of age or over
* satisfactorily complete the Crown College Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment.

Location: Crown College, 200 Planet Street, Welshpool, WA 6107
plus one day at Joondalup Police Academy.

Trainers: Licensed, qualified and experienced trainers who are working in the security industry.
