CPPSEC3018A Provide for the safety of persons at risk

This course is ideal for Security Officers who want to apply for an Unarmed Bodyguard Licence. Delivered over four days, the course gives you practical skills in bodyguarding, along with the knowledge required to perform bodyguarding according to the law.

Obtaining an Unarmed Bodyguard Licence

When you successfully complete this course, you will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for CPPSEC3018A Provide for the safety of persons at risk.

If you also hold a CPP30411 Certificate III in Security Operations with appropriate units (see the Details tab for a list of the required units), you will be able to apply for an Unarmed Bodyguard licence issued by the police in the state in which you wish to work.

Fee: $1,200.00 payable before the course commences

Duration: 4 days, 8.00 am to 4.00 pm

Entry selection: To be accepted into this course, you must:

* be 18 years of age or older
* be a citizen of Australia or New Zealand, or a permanent resident of Australia
* satisfactorily complete the Crown College Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment.

Locations: Crown College, 200 Planet Street, Welshpool, WA 6107, and Crown Perth, Great Eastern Highway, Burswood WA 6100.

To apply for an Unarmed Bodyguard licence from WA Police Licensing

To apply for an Unarmed Bodyguard licence from WA Police Licensing, you must hold a Statement of Attainment for this course and a CPP304011 Certificate III in Security Operations with all of the following units:

  • CPPSEC3001A Maintain workplace safety in the security industry
  • CPPSEC3002A Manage conflict through negotiation

  • CPPSEC3006A Coordinate a quality security service to customers
  • CPPSEC3007A Maintain security of environment
  • CPPSEC3013A Control persons using empty hand techniques
  • CPPSEC3017A Plan and conduct evacuation from premises
  • HLTFA301B Apply First Aid
  • CPPSEC2011A Control access and exit from premises
  • CPPSEC2012A Monitor and control individual and crowd behaviour
