Crown's Indigenous Employment Program wins another prestigious award
Crown Resorts is a very proud ABA100 winner of the Community Contribution Award in this year's Australian Business Awards. This award is given to organisations that implement policies or execute projects that positively impact on the community and generate outcomes that have a long term benefit.
Since pledging to provide sustainable careers for 2000 Indigenous Australians by 2021, we have been working hard to make a real difference in the lives of Indigenous Australians by providing high quality selection, development, and support to Indigenous candidates and employees. Winning this award is a fantastic recognition of the value of this hard work and commitment.
We would like to thank the members of our Indigenous Employment team, and the many other employees who have helped to Crown a culturally safe and respectful workplace - from the chefs in our staff restaurant who provide Indigenous food, to recruiters, trainers, and managers who have collaborated with the team to identify suitable candidates and then supported them before, during, and after recruitment. And of course, the thousands of non-Indigenous employees who have welcomed our Indigenous employees with respect and friendship.
We would also like to congratulate the other winners in this year's Australian Business Awards.
