As part of Crown's 500 Training Places program, this course is available only to:

* people affected by redundancies, with preference given to people from the automotative industry
* Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
* new immigrants
*  women in crisis

After successfully completing this program, you will have the skills and knowledge to work in the Food & Beverage industry, and will be awarded the following qualification that is recognised throughout Australia: SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality.

What kind of careers?

With this qualification, you will be qualified to work as a waiter, barperson or barista in cafes, restaurants, and other venues where food and beverages are served.

Attendance requirements: Monday - Wednesday 10.00 am to 4.00 pm

Selection criteria: You must:

* be 18 years or older

* be a citizen a permanent resident of Australia, or a citizen of New Zealand

* satisfactorily complete probity checks, including police and credit checks

* satisfactorily complete the Crown College Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment.

Location: Crown College, 8 Haig Street, Southbank (in Crown Metropol Melbourne)

Trainers: Qualified and experienced trainers who are working in the industry.
